Astanga Yoga Retreat at In Sabina, near Rome, Italy

This yoga holiday retreat is a week long; we will start around 19:00 on the arrival day (saturday 14th May) with a welcome dinner and finish early after breakfast, around 10 am, on the last day (saturday 21st May).

There will be three practice sessions daily and three pure vegetarian meals, prepared using fresh ingredients organically grown on the property grounds wherever possible.

The afternoons offer time for rest or for nature walks in the beautiful surroundings of In Sabina. There will be also time for visiting some of the local villages nearby. On the last evening, we will all go out for dinner, to explore some of the local flavours in a nearby restaurant.



We will start each day with a series of yogic practices designed to help you cleansing the inner body (kriyas). After some breath work and meditation, there will be a traditional Astanga Vinyasa practice (either guided or mysore style)! After breakfast and some relax time, on some days we'll meet for a second morning session dedicated to discuss topics which relate to our practice development and help us moving faster through difficulties or doubts.

The afternoon session will have a different focus each day. Using a Yin style practice - where poses are held longer to enhance the energy of the organs - we will help body & mind to open more deeply into those areas of ourselves which are generally requiring a bit more time and a bit more kindness. Yin & mindful yoga practices are essential complements to any dynamic yoga practice, as they reach parts of our being which generally we don't get to see in 5 breaths.

The afternoons offer time for rest or for nature walks in the beautiful surroundings of In Sabina. There will be also time for visiting some of the local villages nearby.

On some evenings we will also gather after the dinner time, to watch a movie, meditate together, or share our wisdom on the Path of Yoga.

The retreat setting and the small group allow for plenty of individual guidance, both in the morning and afternoon sessions, so that Claudia will be able to work with your specific level of experience and requirements.
